Colombia Tabi Andino — El Porvenir (Bustos Brothers)
Prodigal doesn’t often source Tabi, but this lot stood out immediately on the cupping table. Tabi Andino is bright and lively, led by grapefruit with layered cherry and caramel sweetness. It’s also being roasted with espresso in mind, making it a versatile pick for both filter and spro.
About the farm
This coffee comes from El Porvenir (“The Future”) in Huila, Colombia, run by brothers Argemiro and Darwin Bustos. The farm has been transitioning toward certified organic practices, with ongoing improvements across cultivation and processing.
Processing details
Cherries were harvested at peak ripeness, then fermented for 24 hours before a full wash. Drying was slow and controlled, taking 19–24 days, helping preserve clarity and sweetness.
