Peru Geisha (SL-9) — Justino Huamán | Finca Limonniyoc
Another amazing cup roasted by Prodigal Coffee -
A standout from the 2025 Peruvian harvest, this fresh SL-9 lot from producer Justino Huamán is one of the season’s final releases. Expect a cup that can swing across a range of fruit tones, with mango and bright citrus showing up most consistently.
About the farm
Finca Limonniyoc has cultivated Typica and Bourbon for roughly 15 years, with Geisha planted over the last five. Coffee is grown at 2,100 meters and dried in an area that benefits from natural shade provided by pacay and other native trees. Harvest and transport remain deeply traditional—coffee is carried down the mountain by pack animals, a trip that takes 2–3 hours from the farm.
Processing details
Only ripe cherries are picked. After harvest, the coffee is pulped with some mucilage left intact, then put through a short fermentation, washed, and finally dried on raised beds for 15–20 days for clarity and structure in the cup.
